ROI ROCKET FAQs

Question #1:  What does the "Deploy Creative" button in the campaign page do?

Answer:  Each banner has HTML code in the code box under it.  That code can be copied and pasted into your site exactly as it appears.  However, you also have the option to "deploy" the creative.  When you deploy a creative you are instructing the system to create multiple sets of HTML code like the banner code in the box, only it has additional tracking information in it so that you can track them separately.  That way you can use the same banner in multiple sites or email campaigns and track the results independently.

To deploy a creative you ...

  1. Choose the creative you want to use.
  2. Enter the number of copies of that banner you want to create with the extra tracking code in it
  3. Name the deployment...that can be any name you want.
  4. Click the "Deploy Creative" button.
  5. The system will display the number of banners requested with the unique HTML code under them.
  6. Copy and past the code into your site or email campaigns
  7. Track the results by going to the "tools" page and selecting "Deployed Creative - Get Stats"
  8. You can manage and delete the deployed creatives from the "Deployed Creative - View" option also on the tools page.

Question #2:  Does ROI Rocket offer banner rotators, and how do you set it up?

Answer:  Yes, ROI Rocket has tools available to allow rotation of your choice of campaign banners.  You are allowed one rotator at a time.  The rotations are optimized so that the best performing banner gets displayed more often.  You can set it up and track the results as outlined below.

  1. Login and go to the Tools page.
  2. Select Banner Rotation.
  3. If this is the first time that you have set up a rotator then the screen will look like this:

  4. Click the Create Ad Pool link.
  5. You should see a screen that looks like this:

  6. Pick and enter a name for the rotator.  (For this example I will choose "MyRotator")
  7. Select the Type from the drop down. The choices are... Text, Image, HTML, and HTML and Image.  These represent the different types of creative in the campaigns.  (For this example I will rotate banners, so I will chose Image and HTML).
  8. Select a size from the drop down menu.  The size you want will depend on your site.  If you want to rotate a variety of sizes select Various.  (For this example I will select a standard size of 468x60).
  9. You can limit the number of campaigns that are available to choose banners from by selecting the Selected Campaign button, and then clicking on the specific campaigns listed in the box. Selecting the All Campaign button will allow you to choose banners from all campaigns that match the size selected earlier.  (For this example, I will select All Campaigns.)  I recommend using All Campaigns for the initial set up.  You can change it later.
  10. Uncheck Pool Pre-fill.
  11. Select your choice of Optimization Method.  This is the method the system uses to decide what ads are performing best, and thus get displayed more often.  You can optimize based on the Payout per Impression ratio, or the Click per Impression ratio.  (For this example I will choose Payout per Impression).
  12. Select Sticky if you want the end user to see the same banner for one hour regardless of the number of page loads.  This is good for newsletters and email marketing, but for banners you will probably want to uncheck Sticky.  (For this example I will uncheck Sticky).
  13. You can rotate pop ups, pop unders, banners. In this example we are rotating banners so choose Neither.
  14. Select Active.  This turns on the rotator.
  15. Click Add.
  16. You should now get a screen that looks like this.  (Note that you can change the information and size selection by clicking on the edit link at the top of the box.)

    Adding Banners

  17. Now all we need to do is add the specific banners to the rotation.  To add banners to the rotation, go to the campaign page for the offer you want to promote.  All the banners that match the size you selected in the previous step will have a box below them that looks like this:

  18. To add the banner to the rotation, just click the name of the rotator pool in the box.  It will move to the Selected Pools area.
  19. Click the Add/Remove button.  (For this example I added a banner for SurveyScout.)
  20. Now the banner has been added.  To check it just go back to the Tools page and select Banner Rotation then select Modify.  You should get a screen that looks like this:

  21. As you repeat the banner addition process, they will be added to the bottom of the page.

    Getting The Code

  22. Now go back to the Tools page and select Optimized Rotators (2nd up from the bottom).
  23. You should get a page that looks like this:

  24. Now just copy and past the provided code into your website.
  25. Your selected banners will now be rotated on your site.  The banners that perform best will be shown more often.

    Tracking Statistics

  26. In addition to the main statistics page you can track the rotator statistics separately by typing a name in the Deploy As box and clicking Go.  You will then get two sets of code that can be placed in separate web sites or email campaigns and tracked separately using the Deployed Creative - Get Stats option on the Tools page.
  27. If you want to delete the deployed creative go to the Deployed Creatve - View section of the Tools page.

That's it... it seems more complicated than it is.  Try it out.  In just a few minutes you can be rotating ads onto your site.

Question #3:  How do you set up the link for a specific magazine through ValuMags?

Answer:  There is a special link located at the end of the ValueMags.com campaign banner list (page 9).  That link will allow you to do an "Express Link" to the magazine of your choice.  Here is a simple example of how to do it!

If you use link # 92 it will have your affiliate code already in it, or you can use the link below and insert your code where it says "your code"

http://launch.roirocket.com/z/92/your_CD_number_here/

Now, that takes you directly to the ValueMags.com home page.  To make it go to the magazine of your choice.  Let's take PEOPLE MAGAZINE for example.  Use the link above (with your actual CD# inserted) to go to the ValuMags site, then use the quick search box and search on "people".  Then click the "details" link to bring up the People Magazine page.  If you look at the last digits of the URL in the address bar of your browser, you can see that People Magazine is MagID=1416.

So, if you want to link to it directly through our EXPRESS PAGE for that magazine, then just add the number 1416 to the URL that I listed above so that it looks like the link below.  Go ahead... insert you ID in the link below and click on it, and see what the page looks like.

http://launch.roirocket.com/z/92/your_CD_number_here/1416

How great is that!  Now you can link to any RELEVANT MAGAZINE that fits your website's audience.  This will increase conversions.

Question #4:  Can I promote ROI Rocket itself?  Is there a ROI Rocket Affiliate Program?

Answer:  Yes... Our Publishers that refer others to ROI Rocket are called Super Affiliates.  We pay you 5% commission for all sales made by the publishers that you personally refer to us.  That can add up quickly to a nice weekly income.  Just use the affiliate link found in the Tools section under Super Affiliates.  You must apply and be accepted as a Publisher first to be a Super Affiliate.

Question #5:  What about taxes?  Do I need to fill out any forms?

Answer:  If you make more than $600 in a calendar year from ROI Rocket, then you need to complete a Form W9.  We have an electronic version of the form that allows you to just fill in the information, and click submit.  We also have a .pdf version that you can print and send to us.  You can access both by logging in and going to the Account Info tab.

Question #6:  How do I know when I have made a sale?

Answer:  We send you an email alert every time you make a sale.  Those are email you will look forward to.  Plus... you can view your complete stats including impressions, clickthroughs, sales and more.  You can view stats by campaign, offer, banner, and rotation groupings.

To enable email alerts just log in and go to the Account Info tab and then select Notifications and select the notifications you want to receive.

To access your stats information, login and click on the Statistics tab.  You can also get the statistics for specific banner rotators and deployed creative by going to the tools section and selecting Deployed Creative - Get Stats.
